“I would highly recommend the law-firm of Greene & Marusak, and specifically Attorney Dan Marusak to any veteran contemplating a disability claim with the Veterans Administration; particularly so if the claim is complex or controversial. Dan first filed a disability claim for me after I was diagnosed with cancer in the spring of 2011. The claim was denied because I had served aboard ship in Tonkin Gulf but had no proof of record that I had been ashore in Vietnam despite the fact that I had done so in connection with my duties. Dan persisted and continued to file claims in my behalf, eventually he succeeded in securing a 10 percent disability for hearing loss. We continued to pursue the cancer claim with a new filing in 2019; after that claim was also denied, Dan persisted and was able to secure a hearing with a law judge, whom we were able to convince, that I had, indeed, visited Vietnam on several occasions. The VA then accepted my service-connected claim but granted a zero percent disability attributed to the cancer; they claimed my symptoms resulted from a different medical condition. Dan then solicited a letter from my physician affirming that my symptoms were, in all probability, attributable to my cancer. Success, I was awarded 100 percent disability dating from my 2019 claim. Dan was not satisfied with that and continued to pursue the claim to date from the original 2011 filing. Dan was able to win a 100 % disability for me including nearly 13 years of back compensation. “My experience with G&M cannot be understated! I was frustrated and at my wits end with the VA.
